What our clients are saying

  • “I cannot give a higher recommendation for Empower Physical Therapy. A year after giving birth, I felt like my body still had not fully recovered. My OB recommended pelvic floor physical therapy so I went for an initial evaluation. I was nervous but Crystal was so kind and professional. I finally felt like someone was taking the time to listen and help me get to the source of my problems. Even so, I still had doubts that physical therapy was going to help but I put my faith in the process and bought the 5-session package. It was worth every penny! I started seeing results by the second session. I maybe don’t feel like I completely have my pre-baby body back (maybe never will) but I feel like everything works and I’m not in pain. I am deeply grateful to Crystal for helping me get here.”

  • “Working with Ivy was a very comfortable and pleasant experience. She has such a great bedside manner and never made me feel embarrassed at all while discussing my health issues or concerns. I love how she’s easy to talk to and that she takes the time to thoroughly explain everything. She’s very knowledgeable in the field of women’s health and obviously enjoys her craft. I’m grateful for all the things I learned from her including proper breathing and exercise techniques. She helped me correct my pelvic floor issues naturally without the need for surgery. Not only have I gained a better quality of life because of her, but also a sweet and beautiful friend.”

  • “Ivy is wonderful. She is calm, thoughtful. and she actually listens to what you have to say. Her approach to my issues were methodical and productive. Within 4 sessions there were results.”

  • “Ivy was so professional and knowledgeable. She would always teach me different stretches and things to do at home when I wasn’t feeling too great. I have never met someone who was so genuinely concerned about my well being, comfort and desire to get me better. I felt like Ivy went above and beyond to help me. Although my situation wouldn’t significantly feel better until after I had delivered, I’d say I felt 75% better after just 3 visits.”

  • “Ivy Colbert has been my physical therapist for almost 3 years. She is the most knowledgeable, professional and caring therapist I’ve ever had and I’ve had a few. She has treated me for back and hip issues with deep tissue release, stretches and strengthening exercises, which help relieve my discomfort and pain tremendously.”

    — D.S.

  • “I have had a number of medical conditions through the years that have required physical therapy. As a result, I have been treated by a number of physical therapists. I have benefited greatly from physical therapy. About 3 years ago, I was referred for physical therapy for a lumbar disc problem. Fortunately, I sought therapy from Ivy Colbert, PT, DPT. It became obvious to me on the first visit that I was fortunate to have found her. It was apparent immediately that she was extremely knowledgeable about my condition, as well as willing to take time to listen carefully, not only about my symptoms, but my concerns. She also impressed me and set herself apart from all previous physical therapists by personally demonstrating the exercises. I have never had a therapist who exhibited the amount of concern that my medical condition be resolved. She is also very compassionate about the comfort and well being of her patients. I hope I never have to receive physical therapy from anyone else, other than Dr. Ivy Colbert.”

    — P.S.
